A new name is set for the Toyota GR Cup North America grid in 2025 as Beltre Curtis joins Copeland Motorsports for his rookie season. An avid sim racer and graduate of several race schools, Curtis joins the two-time defending champions as he begins his quest to climb the motorsports ladder.

“I am excited to kick-start my racing career with Copeland Motorsports,” expressed Beltre Curtis, a student at Baylor University. “I have graduated several driving schools, have raced simulators all my life, and am mechanically inclined, but have a lot to learn as I enter GR Cup this season.”

First getting behind the wheel of a racing kart at the age of eight, Curtis has completed laps at the Circuit of the Americas, Eagles Canyon Raceway, and VIR as he continues to gain experience. Joining Copeland Motorsports for 2025, Curtis will reap the benefits of data and video from two championship winning seasons, as he advances his learning curve in the spec Toyota series.

“As we do with all of our drivers, we welcome Beltre to the Copeland Motorsports family and look forward to helping him take the next step in his motorsports career,” added Dean Copeland. “While we have taken drivers to championship wins, we have also assisted in building the skill sets of drivers as they advance past our program. Beltre enters Copeland Motorsports at the perfect time, and we look forward to some winter testing before the first race at Sonoma Raceway in just over two months’ time.”

The 2025 Toyota GR Cup North America schedule will consist of seven event weekends and 14 wheel-to-wheel races commencing in early March in California.
