With a pair of TCR wins already on their resume in 2020, Copeland Motorsports will be looking for more with the addition of Alex Papadopulos. Competing alongside Circuit of the Americas (COTA) double race winner Tyler Maxson, Copeland Motorsports looks to take no prisoners at the upcoming TC America event at the Virginia International Raceway (VIR).

“Obviously I look forward to working with Dean and the entire Copeland Motorsports crew and getting back into the Hyundai TCR,” explained Alex Papadopulos. “I am excited for the chance to obtain some race experience through SRO and TC America in the same class I compete in with IMSA, and I look forward to transitioning into the sprint race platform as a refreshing change and new challenge.”

With a ton of experience in multiple different disciplines, Papadopulos brings a colorful resume to Copeland Motorsports.

Papadopulos continued, “I have competed in the Michelin Pilot Challenge, SCCA, NASA, Radicals and WRL Endurance Racing. This season I am also in the #47 Hyundai TCR with Forty7 Motorsports in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge. I am familiar with the car and look to provide Copeland Motorsports a powerful one – two punch in TCR racing alongside Tyler Maxson.”

Papadopulos joins a strong Copeland Motorsports lineup joining Tyler Maxson in TCR as well as TCA teammates Tyler Gonzalez and Copeland Motorsports newcomer Luke Lange.
