Bringing the band back together, Copeland Motorsports is pleased to announce the signing of Nikko Reger to their TC America program. Set to compete behind the wheel of a Hyundai Veloster N TCR, the young 21-year-old will enter the 2020 season with goals set and a point to prove.
“This is incredible. I am honored to be racing in TC America with Copeland Motorsports in the Hyundai Veloster N TCR,” explained Nikko Reger. “I have known and worked with the guys from Copeland Motorsports since 2015! It has been a while, but I am ecstatic to be back on the team and more excited than ever to go racing in my first season of TC America. I know Copeland Motorsports is right team, I am the right driver and the Hyundai Veloster N TCR is the right car to go for gold in TC America.”
“Nikko is a great driver, and this is a huge opportunity for him,” added Dean Copeland. “He will be a valuable asset to the team and a great teammate. I am confident he will be up to speed in the TCR pretty quickly and will contend for race wins throughout the year. His racecraft and skills as a driver were proven in his past championship-winning seasons, and we look forward to racing with him on our team and not against him.”
Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Reger is currently a full-time marketing student at the UT – Dallas and was the 2018 Global MX-5 Cup Champion. Gaining experience in the IMSA Prototype Challenge program in 2019, Reger’s resume includes competition from the grassroots of karting, through Spec Miata, Skip Barber and open-wheel competition.
