Copeland Motorsports showcased their depth and talent in the second round of the Toyota GR Cup North America series this past weekend at Sebring International Raceway. Jaxon Bell led the charge by earning a double podium finish across both races, while John Dean was once again the top driver in the Legends Cup Series.

The weekend began with a commanding pace in practice as Jaxon Bell and John Dean each topped the timing charts in practice one and two, respectively, setting the tone for a competitive outing for the multi-car squad.

In race one, it was Bell who converted his pace into a third-place finish, marking his second podium of the 2025 season. Dean crossed the line just behind in fourth, earning the accolade for highest-finishing Legends driver. Ethan Ayars followed closely with a solid top-five finish, while Ford Koch secured the tenth position in a consistent performance. Zach Hollingshead and Jenson Sofronas rounded out the team’s effort in 14th and 19th, respectively. Unfortunately, Beltre Curtis was forced to retire after just six laps due to an on-track incident.

Race two saw even more consistency from the Copeland Motorsports driver lineup. Bell once again climbed to the third step of the podium, earning his second podium result in as many races, while Dean repeated his fourth-place finish, and his title of the top Legends class driver. Ayars showed impressive pace again with another top-five result, further establishing himself as one of the most consistent performers on the grid. Koch and Hollingshead crossed the line in 12th and 13th, while Sofronas and Curtis finished 18th and 19th when the final checkered flag flew.

“We showed what this team is made of this weekend,” stated Dean Copeland, Team Owner of Copeland Motorsports. “The entire lineup delivered strong results across both races, and Jaxon and John are proving to be championship contenders. We’re proud of the pace, the teamwork, and the continued growth of all our drivers.”

Copeland Motorsports now sets its sights on VIRginia International Raceway, where the GR Cup series returns for rounds seven and eight of the 14-race championship from July 18–20.
