Copeland Motorsports is gearing up for an action-packed weekend at Road America as the Toyota GR Cup heads into its fifth round of the 2025 season. The team will arrive with its regular roster of standout drivers Jaxon Bell, Ford Koch, Beltre Curtis, Jensen Sofronas, and will be rejoined by recent addition Max Stallone, who impressed in his debut at Virginia International Raceway last month. The team will also welcome two newcomers to the squad this weekend, Jeremy Fletcher, and Jack Murchison, who has some Spec MX-5 experience but will aim to impress in his GR Cup Series debut.
Bell enters the weekend as the team’s current points leader, showcasing consistent pace and strong finishes throughout the season. Alongside him, Koch, Curtis, and Sofronas have each been building momentum and refining their racecraft, while Stallone’s stellar VIR performance signals his potential to make an immediate impact once again. Fletcher is new to the series but has experience with the team in various other series like the Mazda MX-5 Cup while Murchison is a new Copeland Motorsports competitor who looks to build a strong foundation for the future.
The legendary 4.048-mile Road America circuit has been a favorite among racers for decades and will provide the perfect stage for close, competitive GR Cup racing.
The team will begin their weekend on Thursday with testing, followed by two practice sessions on Friday. Saturday will bring the first qualifying session and race, while Sunday will feature a final qualifying and the second race of the weekend.
Team Owner Dean Copeland expressed his enthusiasm for the challenge ahead. “Road America is one of the most iconic tracks in North America, and it’s a place where great performances are earned. We have a strong, diverse lineup of talent this weekend, and we’re confident in the preparation our drivers and crew have put in. Our goal is to execute clean races, bring home strong finishes, and keep building toward the championship fight.”
