Copeland Motorsports continued to showcase its depth and competitiveness in the Toyota GR Cup North America series this past weekend at Barber Motorsports Park, highlighted by an impressive double-podium performance from Jeremy Fletcher. The team fielded a seven-car lineup, including newcomer Liam Harrison, and achieved strong results across the board.
Fletcher, in only his second weekend in the series, delivered a solid performance, finishing second in both races of the weekend. He qualified fourth for Race One and drove a determined race to secure his first runner-up finish on Saturday. In Race Two, he improved further by qualifying third and once again driving to a second-place finish, while also setting the fastest lap of the race.
The team’s other drivers also made their mark throughout the weekend. In Race One, Jaxon Bell secured an eighth-place finish, while Jenson Sofronas earned the Hard Charger Award after climbing from 14th to ninth. Ford Koch brought home an 11th-place finish, Beltre Curtis finished 17th, and Harrison impressed in his debut with an 18th-place result after starting 21st. Max Stallone’s race was cut short after just 13 laps.
Race Two delivered another set of strong results. Koch and Bell finished nose-to-tail in seventh and eighth, while Sofronas crossed the line in 12th. Curtis made gains from 15th on the grid to finish 11th, and Stallone bounced back from Saturday’s misfortune to finish ninth, also earning the Hard Charger Award of the race. Harrison capped off his first weekend with the team by being classified in the 19th position.
“This was a good weekend for the entire team,” explained Team Owner Dean Copeland. “Jeremy showed incredible pace with two podiums and a fastest lap, which is a huge accomplishment in only his second weekend. I’m also proud of the effort from all of our drivers, from Jenson and Max picking up Hard Charger awards to Liam making his debut with us. Barber is a tough track, and the whole lineup showed resilience and improvement throughout the weekend.”
The Toyota GR Cup season will now head to its highly anticipated finale at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, October 17–19, where Copeland Motorsports will close out the 2025 season on one of the most iconic stages in motorsport.
