It will be five drivers and four Toyotas this weekend for Copeland Motorsports as they take on the famed Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. Taking on the Pirelli GT4 America program will be recent podium winners Tyler Maxson and Tyler Gonzalez while Drake Kemper, Paul Bocuse, and Gonzalez will see action in the Toyota GR Cup North America series as well.
“It is a busy weekend upcoming,” expressed Dean Copeland, Owner of Copeland Motorsports. “We were in Laguna Seca this past weekend for another arm of our program, but the focus is here, and we are committed to winning.”
A podium winner in the GT4 America effort at NOLA Motorsports Park just a few weeks ago at the hands of Gonzalez and Maxson, Gonzalez also made history at the opening round of the GR Cup North America series back in Sonoma by sweeping the race weekend. Paul Bocuse and Drake Kemper also had solid performances showing the true strength of Copeland Motorsports.
Copeland added, “We will look to continue what we have been doing both on and off the track. I have a feeling that our first GT4 America win is right around the corner and that could happen this weekend. We are solid in GR Cup and just need to keep pushing forward.”
Like other race weekends, Copeland Motorsports drivers will hit the track on Thursday for test sessions before official practice on Friday. Saturday will open with qualifying in the morning before wheel-to-wheel racing in the afternoon, with Sunday providing the backdrop for race two.
Copeland continued, “We are continuing to grow, and our off-track presence mixed with our on-track results are the perfect combination. We look forward to having you in our program later this year or in 2024. Contact us today!”
