Happy to leave the Watkins Glen International Raceway, Copeland Motorsports descends this weekend at the 1.5-mile Lime Rock Park facility. Entering a pair of Hyundai Veloster N TCRs, the Maryland based program will see the #27 entry driven by the teenage duo of Tyler Maxson and Tyler Gonzalez while AJ Muss and Mason Filippi will be behind the wheel of the #51 car.

“It is another quick turnaround for our guys, but we are ready to go,” explained Dean Copeland. “While the first Watkins Glen event did not go according to plan, the second event weekend proved that we had the speed, setup and pitstops to compete at the front of the field. With a week back at the shop to regroup and prep, we have our sights set on the top of the results sheet and the top step of the podium.”

As a rookie program in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge program, Copeland Motorsports has been all but rookie-like on race weekends. With a pit crew that has outperformed many of the bigger operations, the Copeland Motorsports Hyundai entries have shown the speed needed to be on the podium but have had multiple instances of bad luck.

Copeland added, “I have no doubt that our cars can be on the podium, and I am confident that we will win a race or two this year. I would like to check that box this weekend.”

With two practices on Friday prior to qualifying late in the day, the Lime Rock Park 120 will take place on Saturday morning with the green flag flying at 11:05am. Visit IMSA.com to view live timing and the live video stream of each and every on-track session.
