Meet Dean.

For Dean Copeland, racing has never been just about winning races.

It’s about developing drivers, building character, and preparing the next generation of competitors for success both on and off the track.

Throughout his career, Dean has coached, mentored, and supported drivers at every stage of their racing journey. His hands-on approach combines technical expertise, race strategy, and leadership with a genuine passion for helping young drivers reach their full potential.

Whether he’s in the garage, on pit road, or talking through race footage after an event, Dean believes every lap is an opportunity to learn and every driver deserves the tools to succeed.

More Than a Crew Chief. A Mentor.

Racing has evolved over the years, but one thing has never changed—preparation wins.

Dean has spent decades immersed in motorsports, gaining experience as a driver, crew member, mentor, team leader, and coach. That experience allows him to see the bigger picture, helping drivers understand not only how to drive faster, but how to think, communicate, prepare, and compete like professionals.

His philosophy is simple:

"Great drivers aren't born. They're developed through preparation, discipline, and experience."

Dean helped our son become a more complete driver. He improved his communication, emotional control, confidence, and ability to explain what the car needed so the team could make the right adjustments.

Copeland Motorsports helped me grow in every aspect of racing. The coaching, feedback, and support gave me the confidence to compete at a higher level and understand what it takes to be a professional driver. Every weekend was an opportunity to learn, improve, and prepare for what's next in my racing career.
