With the 2019 Battery Tender Global MX-5 Presented by BF Goodrich Tires just around the corner, Copeland Motorsports is set with a strong driver lineup, but still has one remaining ND2 seat open. Looking to fill one of their house cars in a high level arrive and drive effort, the Maryland based operation has an opportunity for a one off event at the famed Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas or for the complete 2019 season.
“We have a great group of drivers already confirmed for 2019 and can easily plug a seasoned veteran or a fresh rookie in our program,” explained Dean Copeland. “Our house car has been completely updated to the ND2 package, prepared and is ready to go. We hope to have another driver behind the wheel and battle for race wins and podium results in less than two weeks’ time at COTA.”
As one of the premier teams in the Global MX-5 Cup program, Copeland Motorsports is a multi-time race winning team and has experience second to none. Seasoned in the Mazda MX-5 program, Copeland Motorsports provides a race winning trackside support and preparation program as well as driver advancement efforts from karts to cars.
Copeland added, “2019 is going to be a good year. We have fresh faces who will challenge for Rookie of the Year honors as well as former race winners and championship contenders that will battle for race wins each and every weekend. All of our cars are equally prepared and maintained so this is a terrific opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Mazda that can win in your very first weekend.”
With the event kicking off March 22 at the Circuit of the Americas, Copeland Motorsports drivers will have two complete race days on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24 to kick off the 2019 race season.
