Fresh off a dominant showing at Circuit of The Americas (COTA), Copeland Motorsports is set to continue its championship charge as the Toyota GR Cup North America heads to the iconic Sebring International Raceway for rounds five and six of the season, May 16-18. Bringing the same six-driver lineup, Copeland Motorsports is aiming to continue its winning ways at a track that has brought them much success in the past.
In Austin, Texas, the team’s six-driver lineup delivered a powerful statement with three victories and multiple podiums, firmly establishing themselves as front-runners in both the overall and Legends categories.
“We’re thrilled with our results in Texas and proud of every driver’s performance,” explained Team Owner Dean Copeland, as he is eager to carry that momentum to Sebring. “With three wins, several podiums, and consistent top-ten finishes, the team is energized and ready to tackle the unique challenges of Sebring.”
Leading the charge is Jaxon Bell, who scored his first victory of the season at COTA and now sits among the title contenders. John Dean made history by becoming the first-ever Legends Class driver to stand on the GR Cup podium—not once, but twice—cementing his position as the man to beat in the Legends field. Ford Koch, Jenson Sofronas, Zach Hollingshead, and Beltre Curtis also contributed to a strong weekend with top-ten and top-15 finishes and will look to improve on those results in Florida this weekend.
Sebring International Raceway, known for its demanding layout and bumpy surface, will provide a fresh test as Copeland Motorsports looks to extend its success. With confidence high and championship points on the line, the team is aiming for another winning weekend in Florida.
“We’ve built great momentum, and the chemistry within the team has never been better,” added Copeland. “Sebring is a legendary track, and we’re ready to keep pushing forward.”
Fans can follow the action live from Sebring with race coverage and updates available on the official Toyota GR Cup channels and Copeland Motorsports’ social media platforms.
The on-track action will kick off on Thursday with a pair of test sessions before official practice on Friday. Saturday will feature qualifying in the morning with round five in the afternoon, while Sunday will be a carbon copy of Saturday with qualifying and round six.
